I am not a modern artist.

Art is about the human condition and existence. The rest is ornament, decoration, formal play or eye candy.
Visual art is based on the duality of content and form, idea and material, concept and craft. Minimal visual means often convey a maximum of content and information. The final form is a mixture of intention and chance, of control and spontaneity, in other words the product of controlled spontaneity.
Good art work is a carefully composed, clear, and poingnant visual information, ideally with deeper levels or layers of meaning. The form can be simple or minimalistic and simultaneously convey a very complex message. This encoded information (symbols, metaphors) is more important than the obvious story on the surface. We must read between the lines.
Art shouldn’t provide/deliver final dogmatic answers but rather raise open ended questions and provide an open score for everyone to play his own interpretation. Spoon-feeding the viewer with his own expectations is kitsch.
Titles are baptism, not program. Titles are given after the work is done or during the work process.
